This pay increase is ridiculous we are the lowest paid educators ! A lot of us struggle to get by and have two jobs just to pay bills and pay our rent

10 month employees who do not earn enough to live in Toronto. Housing, food, transportation, etc at all time high with no relief. Find solution/waiver for folks who just can't afford this increase.

OCTs make double what ECEs make and their annual fees are now 25.00 more than this. Time for the CECE to look at another way to fund your spending. How about looking towards the government to offset your budget instead asking for more money from some of the already lowest paid professionals in Ontario. If the CECE was optional 100% of ECEs would opt out. How do you sleep at night knowing how much many ECEs are already struggling to make ends meet, yet ask for more money. Try lowering your salaries and be realistic.

Dear College,
Can you please bring the fees back to what it was. It continues to go up all the time I find this is very hard for me especially because my renewal is every October. I work for the school board and we always get paid for a week when going back to work, then boom October comes along and I have to find a way to pay all this money all the time and bringing it up doesn't help anyone financially. Can you please reconsider this for everyone. I also think that the CPL is very time consuming it puts a yearly mental stress on me and I'm always trying to find the time to do it. It is hard coming home after whole day of work and having to do more work and finding the time is so tough. This is so stressful. I do love my job and we are hoping to get a wage increase and this does not help on top of our low pay. Is their a way you can please please simplify the CPL process. When I worked at the daycare we would have this form for PD where we would have to fill on one line the title of the PD we would attend and the PD instructor/presenter would just sign off that you attended. Even if you had a small section on the side where we could quickly sum up in a sentence what we learned that would be a lot easier than adding goals all the time etc.. and what we are doing to get their etc. It's just very overwhelming to me and I'm sure many people feel the same way. Please take this into consideration at least if your bringing up the fees.

Why pay that much when we are already underpaid and overworked. It feels like they hate ECE's! This increase tells us how much we are disrespected and seen has nothing......it does not make sense....

I have been an RECE FOR OVER 30 Years and nothing has changed to make our jobs more valuable and respected ! Cost of living is going up and after 30 years my hourly rate is still so low….pathetic for all the work we do. We need and deserve more respect, higher pay and most of all we need CHANGE!

If the college is a regulatory body for the public why should the ECEs have to lay for it? If the college isn't doing anything for me the ECE why should I have to pay?

this is actually disappointing that the fees are increasing, for what! The college collects the funds and expects us to do alot....where they could be fighting for fair wages and better supporting our ece communities who enrich teach support and encourage our young children....what we do is what our future will be. the minds of little children are what we teach and guide them through in the first 5 to 6 years of thier lives.
