Seems so sad its been left to rot! We use to play there as kids and would be great to see it been put back to a childrens play area we need to encorage children to play outside more!

My son has friends round there and has no where decent to play. Be nice for children to have a place to call their own

I used to play at this park as a kid and it was a highlight when we lived at lyneham. Bring it back to its full glory.

Would be good to transform the area and locals can help do the work to achieve it. Working together as a community would be good and to the benefit of all.

We need more parking, with most families having 2 cars it’s ridiculous. This is definitely a safety issue restricting access to emergency vehicles.

There is insufficient parking on the Melsome estate which is causing an issue with people parking on pavements on either side of the roads. This will cause problems for emergency services should the need arise for them to assist residents. The area could provide additional parking for residents to prevent access being restricted.

I used to love going to this playpark, and once it was closed off around 2006 time, it quickly deteriorated into the state it’s now in as a result of lack of work and youths vandalising it. I’m glad to see something finally beginning to happen with it, and would rather it become something for the newer generation to enjoy in the years to come than for it to just be torn down and that be the end of it.

The unused patch behind the quarters have steadily become a problem. Many thanks Mr Harrison for actually taking time out in an attempt to address the issue.

Having lived in Lyneham, this would have been a great area to use for my children.
