I just moved to Melissa in Feb. of 2022, I have heard the sirens ONCE. And that's when they were being tested at noon on Sat. Apr. 2. I thought for sure I would have heard them over the last few weeks but no. NOT ONE TIME during the severe weather we had in March and April. Thank God for my phone and tablet! The city of Melissa should really be ashamed of themselves. I'm not sure where the nearest siren is, but there's an elementary school not far from me that would be the perfect place to install one.

I just moved to Melissa. I had no idea they dont have outdoor warning sirens. I have lived in much much smaller towns WITH warning sirens. Its a no brainer in tornado alley@

Melissa is a small town , along with surrounding small towns has no sirens to alert resistance . As we learned from the last storms came through , we all had very shot time to take cover . Please by putting sirens in Melissa .

The tornado alert system is a no brainier! There is absolutely NO excuse for the city of Melissa not having this system in place and functioning! If it is too costly then I would consider looking to the individual who is over economic development. Residential taxes can only sustain this rapidly growing city for so long!

Isn't this an obvious request. We spent thousands of dollars lighting our water tower, but we don't have a working tornado siren? Really??????
