In the past few years, Lanier Elementary has consistently been deemed a failing school in Baton Rouge. As everyone knows, Meghan Turner spent 2 years working as the School Operations Manager at Lanier. In that time, Meghan was able to see the failures of implemented policies and the reasons for those failures. She has the conviction and experience to implement successful policies from the nation’s most successful charter school networks at Lanier Elementary. With the Call for Quality Schools and the creation of the Achievement Zone in North Baton Rouge by the Recovery School District, Meghan believes the time is now to return Lanier Elementary to its place as a strong community pillar. Finally someone who knows what is actually going on inside those walls. Meghan has seen the mess firsthand and knows how to fix it. Kids in BR deserve better than what they are getting right now.
