There are at least 165 places of worship in Mobile. I cannot fathom why there is this much of an issue with people of a different spiritual practice providing a place for said practices on their own property. Let the people who make the center a reality continue this good work as they see fit.

Meditation is like prayer to the Buddhists. It serves a similar purpose. So, by denying a right to congregate in their private home, this means no private home could conduct prayer meetings in THEIR home. Oh, but wait.....that violates the Constitution.

I rarely sign petitions. This is different. Dr. Nimitz, his family, and some of the other people involved in this organization are outstanding people. They are key parts of the culture and diversity and medical community of southern Alabama. The city of Mobile is disgraceful in their treatment here. It's a microcosm of all the discrimination that has and continues to hold Alabama back in, not only America, but the whole western world. Continue to make yourself the butt of every joke Alabama. It serves you well, obviously.

This meditation center is a very good place. They help people to improve their well being through inner peace education for everyone regardless of who they are.
