The emails I receive from students about what they have lost during these years are heavy to carry alone. I am working behind the scenes to see if there is any path forward for an in-person ceremony despite the resistance we keep hitting. This is exhausting work but I am not walking away from it yet.

I feel like that graduation, especially high school graduation is something that every student looks toward and the seniors of Medgar should be able to experience this as well as other high school students
I think that this is such a momentous occasion for them and because they’ve been deprived of everything else due to COVID-19, they should at least get this now that coronavirus curve is starting to deplete.
This class deserves to walk across the stage after putting in years of hard work. It is the last hurray before they officially enter a new chapter in their lives and they deserve that.
If possible give multiple date options, for people to vote on or in case less people need to graduate at a time to abide by social distancing.
let them graduate in person like come on. it could be outdoors, all you need to do is rent a stage
I'm personally for in person Graduation. These seniors earn it .

This is a moment that every child dream of. Graduating from high school and walking on a stage for everyone and your family to see that you achieved your goal and is the first step to many other goals.
