These restrictions need putting in place for Tongue Lane all the way down to the pet shop on the bottom of Church Lane. As a resident on this part of the road I have witnessed many bumps, near misses, walls damaged etc. On New Years Eve was a wall was smashed metres from where my car was written off 2 years since. I wonder if the COuncil would want the casualty to be one of their own!! I dont, so im in full suport. Some people drive on this road like fools!

i agree with all thats is said there two ways of stopping this first put up signs if people keep to them the better solution is to put in in speed chicanes to stop drive speeding down church lane the next would be double yellow lines outside pet shop on the corner of church lane and green road my other bug is car stopping outside waiterose put up fencing to stop people getting out of cars so they have to go into the carpark i have already seen five near misses because of cars stopping to let people out for cash machine.

Speeding also along Green Road and parking blocking drives. Cars drive straight out of Green Road and Church Lane.

Stop signs need at all junctions with Green Road. People drive straight out. Also problems with people parking on Green Road and blocking drives.

Yellow lines are needed by the pet shop on Church Lane. Too many cars park on the corner to go into the pet shop causing obstructions

I support all these ideas. A pedestrian crossing is required near the junction of Green Lane/Church Lane.

Having witnessed two accidents recently on Tongue Lane and Church Road the 20 mph limit is long overdue

Thank you Mrs Booth, we absolutely agree and will ask the COuncil to review the position of the crossing. Zoe.

As the volume of cars on the roads have increased pedestrian safety should be given more consideration and priority, especially outside schools. School children are at a higher risk of accidents because of the volume of cars on the road at the times they arrive at and leave school. If existing interventions are not adequate for child safety then the Council need to address the problem and put in place much safer road safety interventions such as those proposed, as a minimum. At present there is no safe place to cross.

The zebra crossing is in the wrong place, cars are trying to go into cardinal heenan and trying to get out, this causes really bad congestion and makes the crossing very dangerous, I feel it should be moved further down so the pupils can get off the bus at the busstop and be directly able to cross the road safely.
