520 hours is way to many for small departments. they just dont have the budget for full timers. way to make our streets less safe.
Stop messing with our police force. We need these guys on the road and this rule is just gonna hurt us.
My husband works hard as a part time officer and he does a great job. Why are they trying to make it impossible for departments to keep guys like him?
This is ridiculous. Our small towns cant afford to lose the coverage we already have. Leave it be.
This is gonna kill the part time force in Michigan. Big mistake.

TOTAL BUREAUCRATIC GARBAGE. LET THE LOCAL DEPARTMENTS DECIDE WHAT WORKS BEST FOR THEM INSTEAD OF SOMEONE IN LANSING.
