The folks at this daycare are exceptional people and I am happy my kid has been accepted here.
Furthermore, given that there is a definite shortage when it comes to demand vs availability in the daycares in the area I believe that it is nonsensical to close this daycare.

I sincerely hope that this sale does not go through. There are very few daycares in this area and even just north of Steeles and to take another one away is not in the best interest of the community. Newer areas in the GTA have many daycares and is therefore attractive to young families and by doing this you are making this area less and less family oriented. It is a great day care with great staff and selling the property only hurts the children and wonderful staff.

This school plays a vital role in the community. Adventure place is amazing program available to families. The McNicoll Ave Child Care program is an amazing centre. My daughter attended this daycare and the support from the staff and ED was wonderful. The program quality is one of the best out there and hard to find a comparison. Please reconsider the possible sale of this building it will have a huge negative impact families in the surrounding community!!!

This property offers crucial services to the community around it. There are not many, if any comparable daycare centres in the immediate area and with daycare waiting lists what they are in Toronto already, it would be detrimental to the families, such as myself that rely on this centre. McNicoll provides amazing service and takes great care each and every day. They consistently rank among the highest in the city as far as daycares are concerned and provide TDSB with a steady stream of income, rather than a lump sum amount from a one time sale. I know TDSB is not in the business of running daycares, but they are in the business of helping to provide children with a great start, and if they sold this daycare, they would be creating an environment in the Don Mills area that is unsuitable to families and children. I truly hope TDSB can see the many benefits this centre provides not only to the immediate families involved, but to the community surrounding it. I have registered my daughter there and she loves it - I love that it has a 'school feeling' and it is just a great amalgamation of child centred programs. Please reconsider this decision - many families and children depend on McNicoll!

My daughter has been in McNicoll Avenue Day Care Program for 2 years, and she has been enjoying the school life here every day. She loves her teachers and her peers; she enjoys the meals and the outside playing time in the big and safe playground. We parents are happy to see her growing up day by day in this school. We hope she could see her school when she is five, ten or even more. We currently prepare to send our second daughter to this day care too since it is close to our home. If it is on the process of sale, we have difficulty to find another day care with the same quality nearby. Also, it is a challenge for our family when considering transportation, cost and time. Please re-consider the proposal for sale! We do need McNicoll Avenue Day Care Center to keep unchanged.

McNicoll Childcare provides excellent child care for the kids in surrounding areas and closing this centre will adversely impact number of families. There are very few licensed centre in this neighbourhood and we really need this centre to continue to provide secure environment for our kids. Please do not go ahead with this sale.

McNicoll Child Care Program provides excellent service in large part because of its location in right in the community where the parents and children live. It would be a real shame if the TDSB sold the building and McNicoll Child Care had to leave. It is so hard to find child care spaces and if McNicoll was forced out, the child, parents and the community would lose out. Keep McNicoll Child Care in place!

It is sad to see that profit comes before our kid' benefit and education! Especially you hear all the time the child care is hard to find in the city of Toronto. McNicoll childcare is one of the best child care facility in the city of Toronot, its not only give our children day to day care but more importantly give the parents a piece of mind, knowing their children are in good hands. It will benefit so much families to keep the building and childcare service as well as the adventure place. TDSB needs to see the future not just the short term benefit!!

Having gone through the original school closure in 2000 when my children went to school there and also being involved with the daycare over a period of 14 years, I find it very disturbing that in this day and age of quality affordable daycare being so important to todays society that the TDSB could force organizations to fold making it very hard on the children and parents . Shame on the TDSB yet again.

McNicoll childcare is the best daycare my daughter has had. The high quality care offered by the staff and physical environment for children to play and learn were wonderful! My daughter now is 7 years old, and she always ask me to take her back to her old school to visit her teachers and see her old classrooms. Please don't sell the building, and let more children benefit from this great daycare in this neighborhood.

It is not easy to find infant daycare providing high quality of service like Mcnicoll daycare. I understand TDSB will have plan for that location. But please consider the feeling from the parents nearby who rely on that daycare. We love that daycare and teachers working there and we expect TDSB change the mind to sell that property. Thanks!

As a tax payer, i think TDSB is an organization that provides quality education to our next generation and service to the community which is what they are doing now instead of making profit by selling the land.
As a citizen with kids, I do believe we have role to advocate for quality education to our future leaders (kids).
Also, in support of the quality education the premier of ontario recognizes the importance of the Early years education (child care) and they have tried to invest in it for the past few years.
As an ECE , I believe in providing quality services for children including maintaining quality staff and a quality environment. The children learn and benefit from the environment and that's what we offer here; quality care in a quality environment. Imagine a space where there is no availability of the amenities that we currently have; such as the use of a large indoor gym, 2 large playgrounds. The children will lose this safe outdoor space to enjoy their activities.
