The homecoming parade was something that not only the high school students used to look forward to, but the community as well. Windows along the stores were painted. Alumni, present, and future students were all lined up to watch it. So many things are changing but the school spirit shouldn't. Keep the parade going! Super Fan Larry would be so upset..

What a shame that this wonderful tradition should be lost. Please think carefully before you do this........don't you think it is refreshing to have a parade that gives positive vibes instead of yet another demonstration of dissatisfaction?

Loved it when we had it in high school. Can't believe someone would take away and event that brought the community closer together. Really sad to hear about this.

The MCHS Homecoming parade is a tradition. For the students, it takes school spirit into the community rather than the community being on the outside of stadiums, ball parks, and ball courts. In other words, the parade brings the school community and hometown community together.
I would like to read an official statement as to why there will not be a 2017 MCHS Homecoming parade. I feel it is necessary to be able to make a statement, though I am all for a homecoming parade.

The school has waisted so much no e.g. of new furniture and new florring that they are punishung up for their overspending. Punishing all School sports and activities due to the fact that they went over budget with remodeling for themselves and not to better off our students.

There is a lot of things cut out of highschool sports and other functions for the sake of cutting costs..and then passed off as not enough support from students..homecoming parade was a big deal for as long as i can remeber..loved watching it as a kid and then even more being part of it as a player. Now the varsity boys cant even have their names on their football jerseys anymore because someone decided it wasnt team oriented and more about the individual..what???!?!! Its one of the biggest reasons i wanted to play the sport in the first place..rockin that last name on my back..now u have 2 boys wearing the same # on the same team cuz u cant figure out how to order another jersey with a # that hasnt been taken yet....ya'll are killing me. Incompetance..make this stuff memorable please!!! For the students
