I'm only for allowing girls to wear more jewelry and have more freedom. Guys shouldn't be able to have facial hair.

I agree with this so much. When I first started working at Market Basket, I myself had a nose piercing. In order to cover it up, I wore a clear stud that had no backing. As a result, the stud fell out and it closed up. I've been wanting to get it repierced for awhile, but I feel I can't because it takes 6 months to heal and I can't switch out the piercing until it's healed. Also, my store doesn't allow bandaids on nose piercings so there goes that idea. I believe that the dress code for the shoes and pants are reasonable, but it's unnecessary to wear a collared shirt (I'm speaking for the female dress code). The employee should be able to wear a plain colored shirt with or without a collar (no graphic tees and such allowed). I once made the mistake of wearing a plain black tee shirt under my smock when I was a couple of months in the job, and I was told I would be sent home to change if I wore it again. I hope this reaches 500 signatures, as it would shed light on the issues the employees see, and hopefully better the work experience!

I agree with this. I also think the dress code shouldn't be so strict I think we should be aloud as girls to wear leggings and yoga pants. But as men I think they should be able to wear jeans or something ... but sweatpants shouldn't be aloud.

Girls should be able to wear two ear piercings at a time, it was my Christmas gift to get my second ear piercing done and I would really like to be allowed to wear both sets of my earrings at work. The one earring policy affects almost all of the other girls I work with too.

Additionally, the growth of facial hair may be a religious matter, as in the case of Hasidic Judaism: Hasidic Jews are not permitted to shave off their facial hair. Other denominations of Judaism may allow trimming of facial hair or allow 'clean shaves,' but the practitioner should be allowed to observe this custom to the extent they feel necessary to be in accordance with their religion.

Work is the only thing keeping me from getting the nose piercing I've been wanting. If I get it, I cant let it heal properly.
