Your decision to close fabric stores only contradicts the requirement to wear mask in public. Where are people suppose to get mask So?

Instead of buying cloth locally, I've bought the same fabric from Hawaii that was sent to an Atlanta Amazon warehouse, increasing workload on shippers. Fabric stores need to somehow remain open to allow people to make face masks. Wearing facemasks will likely be a fact of life for the next year or more while we wait on a vaccine.

How can we make more of the needed masks, if we can't get supplies? Pls. keep the stores open, with restrictions as needed of course, but we need supplies!

Mayor it is possible to go to the drug store or supermarkets and buy things I do not need like liquor but I can't go to a fabric store and choose the type of fabric I want for my masks. Your mandate is foolish and not well thought out.

With Covid19 policies changing day by day to prevent the spread of this ferocious virus, Grocery stores, medical facilities, education, utilities, etc., are demanding all customers wear a mask to protect yourself and me. NOW is not the time to limit the sales of fabric, elastic, thread, sewing machines, etc. These items are FABRICS OF LIFE that can save a person whether an infant, child, teenager, an adult, or kupuna; a community; our agricultural partners, our medical partners; ANY essential worker; etc. Even our own politicians need these mask, if they even care about the 360 impact that closing fabric stores will have on Oahu. Mind you, we don’t even know if there is an end date in sight. I have mask but if this is a long haul, one mask is not going last me 6 months with wash and wear every day, or every other day, for this matter. The least thing that fabric store can do is to practice social distancing and controlled customer limitations per Store SF. Failure to protect the people of Honolulu / other counties, and the state is on the mayors and the governors head for not doing the right thing. Over a million people reside on Oahu, do you really think everyone has a mask? I think not....

Mayor Caldwell, the fabric stores ARE an essential supply link to making masks and clothing! Open your overly-stoned eyes and put them on an essential supplier status !

Need fabric stores to be open to buy supplies to make masks. Keep local businesses in business as long as they are practicing social distancing policies.

Masks are essential and so are the notions and material to make them. They’re important than so-called ‘Essential’ vaping and liquor stores!

You can't feel the fabric from a photo - and how do you know which fabrics are acceptable from a photo online!!!

Closing fabric stores when most folks shopping there re buying supplies to make face masks is dangerous. As someone that is sewing masks to donate to first responders and health care providers, I have attempted to order online and the costs and time delay are significant.

I have fabric but I am making masks for my hospital coworkers. People need this to help everyone else. I vote in every election.
