Please invest more money in the Providence Community Library! I use the Wanskuck Library and am always impressed with the quality of programs and the number of people who come to the Library. Thank you!

Libraries are the best possible use of our tax dollars! The return on investment is enormous, because people are using branch libraries to improve their skills, to help their children succeed in school, and to learn about and engage with their community.

I use the Rochambeau branch on a regular basis ... although several times I have forgotten the hours and show up to locked doors. There are so many people in the neighborhood who take advantage of the library's offerings, from kids getting books to teens taking part in makerspace activities to older patrons borrowing movies to me, a library teacher who orders dozens of books at a time to preview for my school collection. More hours would allow even more people to access the resources at Rochambeau.

A library is the best investment in the community of all ages that I can think of. Please find the money to extend hours so all can benefit from the last “free” place on earth.

Libraries are so much more than repositories for books- they are equity- boosting, safe community spaces. My children have enjoyed thousands of hours at our local library discovering new worlds in books, attending performances and shows and crafts. WE LOVE LIBRARIES!

Mayor Elorza, I voted for you because I thought you'd be good for the city. The libraries are more important now than ever. With media under siege, the library remains the best hope for finding accurate information. It is also home for many families to do homework, use the computers, and simply gather after school and on Saturday. Please increase funding.

In the early evening when other options are often limited, libraries offer an enriching alternative to watching tv - a healthy, engaging place to learn more about the world - right in your own neighborhood. A city that invests in the well being of families will undoubtedly reap the benefits.
