It is so obvious that the only way to benefit from having the two seperate buildings is by having juniors in one and seniors in the other. If not then expect one building gaining a reputation and the other suffering, brighter students wanting to go to the better school cos the other one "has a name", class divisions in the town will become more apparent. It can only spell disaster. I fully support the junior/senior cycle.

There should only be one Post Primary School in Maynooth and this is the reason I signed the first petition to have the VEC as the schools patron. There should be one school, one uniform, one set of rules and one set of principles. Having one school avoids social inequalities and it enhances a community spirit among the young adults attending it.

I have 4 young children and i would like if they attended the post primary in maynooth but if it is not seperated into junior cycle, senior cycle schools i fear that it will be 2 schools with very aparent social devides and i would not like them being subject to this

The Community of Maynooth have clearly and repeatedly voiced their preference for a junior/senior school model of the already very successful Maynooth Post Primary School. You need to listen to us. We do know what is best for our community and our children. This is not the time for grand-standing.

There should be one school, so there is less rivalry. Especially in the one grounds. Maynooth has a great community spirit and one school with a junior and senior section would be fantastic. These kids are precious and the less stress, and complication is essential. We unfortunately have massive problems with bullying. Keeping it simple and united as one school is the obvious choice.
