If any individual from the diplomatic staff of Antigua & Barbuda should be honored with a knighthood it is former Ambassador Lionel "Max" Hurst. This has nothing to do with his political affiliation, as an Ambassador serving in NY and Washingtion, he was the most liked Ambassador the twin island nation of Antigua & Barbuda ever had. This petition is in support of Ambassador Lionel Hurst's service to the people of Antigua & Barbuda, the submission of his name to the selection committee a day late should not have denied him his rightful place in the history of Antigua & Barbuda. Some exceptions can be made and this is one that needs to be made, not insult him by telling him to wait until next year.
