The Planning Department is still stonewalling every attempt we make to discuss reasonable zoning solutions. They want to crush these small businesses under red tape instead of working with us. We are not backing down until they stop this arbitrary shutdown.

Total overreach by the county. People should be able to rent out their own homes if they want to.
We visit every year and stay with a local family. It is way better than some stuffy hotel. Please change the rules.
DONT DESTROY THESE SMALL BUSINESSES. My family loves staying in the quiet areas away from the crowds and tourist traps.
Staying in a real house is the only way we can afford to bring the kids. Hotels are way to expensive and not fun at all.
This is just ruining the local economy for no reason. Fix the zoning regulations and leave the homeowners alone.

Maui is getting to be like a concrete jungle. Let the people host guests in their own homes.
