This petition is made to encourage the Kauai County Council to reject Bill 2364. Hawaii state law prohibits vacation rentals on agriculture lands. Bill 2364 would allow vacation rentals on agriculture lands on the island of Kauai, which is direct conflict with Chapter 205 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes. The Attorney General of the State of Hawaii has opined that the County of Kauai does not have the authority to allow vacation rentals on agriculture lands. Please sign this petition to convince Council members to vote against Bill 2364.
The Kauai County Council thinks they can ignore state law to line the pockets of developers while our agriculture lands rot away. This surge of support proves they cannot hide from us anymore. We are forcing them to face the fact that we will not let them destroy our future for tourism greed.

Keep Kauai Kauai. This is insane. Once the ag land is gone it is never coming back.

The AG already said no so why are we even talking about this? Follow the law and protect our farms.
