The community requires this field for the recreational needs for their children, the disabled and the safety of school children from the local primary school.

Please leave the fields alone, it’ll take away children’s freedom to play freely and safely in their neighbourhood.

Come on Cardiff Council do you think we were born yesterday? What happens when it becomes an over grown jungle? Claim it as unused wasteland and build on it? That field was a constant source of release for the community during lockdown when we had no where else to go! Children play sporting activities there, dog walkers walk their dogs there, families have picnics there, the elderly enjoy strolls there, need I go on?! It is and always has been a safe and happy place for all of the community! What about the residents that face the field? It’s going to be an absolute eye sore when they look out of their windows, when I’m sure they thoroughly enjoy watching the children playing! Also what happened to the Child friendly Cardiff strategy 2018 which states ‘ As a capital city Cardiff aspires to be a 'child friendly city' where all children and young people have an equal chance to thrive and reach their potential. Many children and young people in Cardiff lead safe, happy, healthy lives and feel listened to and respected by the adults around them.‘ What is child friendly about taking the one decent place that they have to play and do you honestly think they can thrive by sitting indoors watching tv or playing on games consoles? We as a community need Matthew Walk

A much needed space for community users that would be ruined sadly. There are other areas around Danescourt that can become one-mow areas, like grass verges, the area by the shops, by the top roundabout, etc

Another made up excuse for he council to not do what they should be doing. So worried about the wildlife and green fields have tou seen Llantrisant road where the fields used to be.

Once again Cardiff Council find a way to remove even more usable green space in their efforts to save a few quid! They care little about the people and the community we live in, whose taxes pay their wages!

It's not enough that the country landscape is being destroyed around us and now we're expected to give up something which is so critical to our neighbourhood. I have kids who enjoy that land very often, where are they meant to enjoy their childhood when these places are taken away. I hope the school also voice their concerns over this since as it will also affect them. The council is meant to be by and for the people but I don't see much of that with services being stripped away and tax rises. Next thing we know the land will be developed on due to it becoming overgrown.

I am a regular user of the playing fields as it is such a nice time for family time and an easy safer access to the school instead of walking along the road.

Omg Cardiff council you do really think we are stupid! Absolutely nothing to do with conservation . This means ‘ we don’t have to pay someone or be bothered to cut it’ .

It’s going to look untidy plus so many children and people use this field including myself and my family not a good idea.
