If you really want to improve the natural habitats of wildlife, stop granting planning permission on greenbelt land. This park is essential for the well-being of kids and adults in the Danescourt community.

Clearly an attempt by the council to cut back on their responsibilities and expenditure whilst atempting to spin this as an environmental need. But the needs of Danescourt residents havent changed - the field needs to be maintained to provide an outdoor space for children, adults and dogs to play and exercise

We will not be able to enjoy picnics and family games if field is not cut this is the only area in Danescourt that can be used. Perhaps council should of thought of trees, woodland etc before destroying Llantrisant Road and allowing British Rail to do the same.

I have lived in this area for 31 years. My boys & friends played on this land. Its used constantly by families children for all sort of activities. Every bit of green land around our estate has now been stolen by greedy developers. So green land is priceless for our children. Please don't ruin the last bit of greenery that everyone can useand enjoy.

I grew up in Danescourt and spent probably every day of my summer on this field. I now live here with my husband and daughter, we purposely moved to Danescourt because if it’s amenities, community spirit and safe spaces for children. Our garden is small with no lawn, in the summer heat if 2022 the Matthew Walk field was our refuge with its open space catching the breeze and trees for shade. This year now that my daughter has learned to walk the grass has been the ideal space for her to toddle and tumble safely. Perhaps a compromise of patches left uncut but also some cut field would be more appropriate for this much loved and needed space.

We definitely need this area for our community as there are always children playing, dogs having fun and families gathering throughout the summer.

This space is essential for children to play, community to gather, and dogs to exercise. Leaving this to grow out of control will just look awful too

Please keep this as a playing field surely cutting the grass in the spring and summer isn’t that much of an expense and worth it for all the families and dog walkers that need this space.

I use this field daily with my dog, to walk and play ball in. If the grass is not cut, it will make it very difficult to find the dog poo. This field is use by the children & adults to play & picnic in. It will only be a mater of a time before someone treads in the dog poo that we haven't been able to find and exposed them selfies to infections. Currently this is very much look after by the community, with nearly all dog owners ensuring this is poo free. This field is also currently litter free due to the local community this also will also be more difficult to locate.
Please don’t do this!!
