While I support the Council’s promotion of biodiversity I think safeguarding the free play grassland available to children and families is key. Diolch.

This field should not be left to grow wild- it is just a cost cutting exercise by Cardiff City Council and should nit be allowed to happen.

This would be a massive loss to the community and adjoining community school - there are other biodiversity areas within the locality nearby - it is important thus is kept as it currently is as a resource for children, dog walkers and families

It is essential that children and families have the use of this grassed area to run free, play games and share social times for mental and physical health as well as explore nature. Leave it as an unkept area and goodness knows will be deposited there

This field is one of the only spaces children can play in the area and is utilised a lot- ball games, community picnics, exercising, learning to ride bikes. The consequence will be that children will start playing on the roads, resulting in risk of harm to them and damage to local cars from ball games.
This is a blatant money saving exercise - as the areas could be used for both wilding and recreation, and this is not being considered.

I don't understand why they just don't leave the edges unmowed , I hope this is not just an excuse to save money, does CCC actually realise this area is used in so many ways . There needs to be discussion with local community,

This field is used continuously by dog walkers, family and children for ball games. Outdoor activities and wellbeing is part of the Future Generations Act. The people in Danescourt need such an area for both mental and physical wellbeing! Not everyone has outdoor space as part of their housing.
