I have seen numerous coyotes in the lady server Sl weeks around 30th and wills way. I even saw one in Palm at the s curve. Please help solve this problem.

My friend's boston terrier on 24th was attacked in her fenced backyard.. Thankfully, she was nearby and she screamed and chased the coyote, so her dog survived with only puncture wounds. Pets should be safe to be in their own backyard. This isn't a couple coyotes. The population is out of control and they are desperate for food.

Agreed! Relocation should be the answer. When their population is threatened by aggressive killings, they have earlier mating seasons, and have larger litters to make up for the lost. Mother Nature always finds a way...

I live on Poe and see coyotes in the street by my house regularly. I always have my dog on a leash, but I'm always on alert and have to be prepared to fight off a coyote if one attacks my dog. What is the most alarming thing about this is the strong possibility of harm coming to a child or elderly person while walking their dog. This is a serious safety issue.

I feel for those of you who have lost pets, but I have to say that leaving your cats and dogs outside is like offering a buffet to potential predators. Pets should be kept indoors. If you live in an area where you are aware of the risk of attack by predatory wildlife, walk your dog. If you are unable to do so, you should probably consider living somewhere where there is no threat. It is extremely rare for a coyote to attack a human and I have not heard of any dog being attacked while walking on a leash. Trapping and relocating the coyotes would be ideal, but I believe they are euthanized rather than relocated.

I understand that they were here before us and we need to coexist with them but it sounds like the population can no longer sustain themselves and their food supply is not sufficient and they are going after pets and people. There needs to be a better solution.

You cannot allow this to continue! There isn't any coexisting with wild animals. If you don't care about citizens and their beloved, think about the liability

I would be willing to help in any way to make sure the coyotes are not harmed too. It is not their fault that they do not have anywhere to go and don't have food. They are wild animals trying to live. I have three dogs of my own and want to keep them safe and will do anything I can to help this problem.

One of my neighbors on forest trail also lost their cat. The thing that worries me more than my pets are my young kids. How long before they attack a child. Will it take that for something to be done, I sure hope not

I have seen several large coyotes personally and frequently hear packs of them at night when I walk our dogs. I have true concerns for the small children who play in our neighborhoods as well as concern for our pets. The ones I have seen could easily harm a child or adult.
