Restoring Same-Sex Romances in the Mass Effect Legendary Edition

Straight male gamers aren't buying your game because they're already big mad at you for removing Miranda's ass shots (I'm a lesbian who appreciates a good ass, and I cannot thank you enough for removing those gratuitous, male-gazey, totally unnecessary "talk to the ass because the face ain't listening" shots). Why are you alienating your gay gamers as well? Kaidan and Jack are both canonically bisexual: it's in the games. I'm saddened and upset that Femshep can't romance Jack, when it's stated that Jack is interested in women (and I'm very tired of Bioware "subverting" expectations by making their butch characters only romanceable by men lol), BUT I understand that implementing this in the remaster requires new voicelines and new content. But Kaidan? There's NO excuse for not implementing Kaidan's bisexuality in ME1 (and ME2, at least a mention of it on Horizon). The content's all there. Modders have EASILY reinstored this content. You have the opportunity to do an amazing thing, to restore our faith in Bioware's ability to provide queer representation when you've destroyed our trust time and time again, preying on our loyalty to a franchise only to throw us under the bus like always -- and instead, you're saying "well, if modders could do it in ME1, then lol maybe they can do it again in MELE." Shame on you, Bioware. You were progressive back in the day, until you caved to pressure from Fox Media -- and now, in 2021, when more and more people are embracing their queer identities, you're denying them the ability to see themselves in their Shepards. Do the right thing. Earn our loyalty back. Gay gamers will make up for the revenue you're losing from straight gamers who are mad that you're "pandering to the ess jay double yews" or whatever lol.

The developers of Mass Effect Legendary made a conscious decision not to update the romance options to include more queer routes. This choice is homophobia, plain and simple. By choosing not to include queer romances, Bioware is telling its queer fans that they don't matter, and that they don't support them enough to include them in their stories. They're hiding behind an excuse of 'keeping the story true to the original', when they could have taken this opportunity to expand on what was, and show their support by updating their romance options to reflect the diverse and amazing community that has supported them. It's an insult to every queer Mass Effect fan, and my disappointment in Bioware is immeasurable. I hope they see the error of their choice, and update ME:Legendary to include more queer options, as they did to Andromea. Considering they've already shown how little they care however, I'm not holding my breath.

At the very least, add it to Mass Effect 1 for a little more diversity.

If it was already included in the original game’s code, there shouldn’t be a reason as to why it’s not included in the Legendary Edition. In 2021.

I would love to see more LGBT repsentation in these games. They are dear to me and as a lesbian myself, I like to see genuine romances in RPGs I play.

I want to be able to romance another male without havin' to wait till the last game to be free to do it.
