Restoring Same-Sex Romances in the Mass Effect Legendary Edition

To not restore the same sex romances when the dialogue is mostly available and bioware was able to release the extended cut DLC after the Mass Effect 3 ending backlash is nothing short of a slap in the face to the LGBT community who've supported the series. It would cost a small fraction of the game's gross and be a significant step forward in acknowledging the LGBT community as a part of gaming. Please consider this.

Jack being straight and turning down Femshep, especially after she herself tells a story in which she slept with men and women, has always felt disingenuous. Seeing that this decision might have just been cowardice in the face of mainstream media backlash really outlined the ME teams priorities at the time.

As a lesbian, it would be nice to chase after the female romances we deserve, especially Jack. And I stand besides my other lgbt brother's and sister's to receive the same treatment on getting the romances they deserve.

I want Kaidan to be a gay romance from the first game

I fell in love with series .starting with mass effect Andromeda. I recently played the original trilogy and hope in the remaster I can romance all the character no matter what gender of shepherd I choose

Please don't leave this to the modders once again! Why can't MShep be proudly gay throughout the whole trilogy? Why does some of Ashley and Kaidan's character-developing dialogue have to be restricted to opposite-sex Shepards? It's such a waste of good content. And please restore Jack and Jacob's sexualities.

By not updating this aspect of the game you are saying that LGBTQIA+ folks do not matter to you. If I do not matter to you, then you will not get my money.

I'll be honest, I was hoping for Thane to be a bisexual option as intended in the original series but cut out due to time and possible backlash. But its not asking too much to have more options in a series where times have changed and they helped make it a more inclusive world. Not just in Mass Effect, but as a whole.

Representation is so important and queer individuals deserve the same access to romance as straight people. Bioware has become incredibly important to many LGBTQ+ individuals. Dragon Age is so important to me because I feel represented and can be myself. Please allow us the same opportunities in Mass Effect. Please do not censor us again.

These additions will cut into your profits, and video games operate with a razor-thin margin. Transfer money from advertising (which we've seen a lot of) into this project and you will get public relations eyes on this game that could outweigh the facebook ad money you were planning to continue spending. Listen: it's criminal that games are still only $60 and that people complain about DLC and added expenses; you all deserve to be paid well for what you do and games are getting more and more complex and require further and further staff which means the money has to be spread around thin. That's rough. I'm not indifferent to that. But to release this game with the fear of the 2007 era baked into it makes this a harder game to buy in 2021. People were afraid of gay inclusion and they won. Ship the game as it is and you're not "being true to the original," you're being true to the fear our community had to deal with at the time, canonizing it for posterity. Thank you for your time.
