It’s honestly embarrassing that these were ever removed in the first place. There’s no excuse for not restoring them in the Legendary Edition unless you’re either lazy or you agree with the self-censorship you did.

Restoring same sex romance in mass effect legendary edition I think is great bc for people like me who don’t care what character you are just like to explore and have fun playing both sides as gay and straight female or male. When they took that out people don’t have a lot of choices in the game to Romance and that kind of sucks. For me I would have liked to romance Garrus as a male sheperd in MELE.

BioWare should be ashamed for not taking the chance to fix past wrongs from a more homophobic past when releasing the Legendary Edition. If modders can do it, then so can BioWare. There are no excuses and the fact that this hasn’t happened yet is an insult to the queer community.

Since all dialogue lines were recorded for both male and female shepard characters, it doesn't seem like this is a big ask. Please consider updating the game and allowing players to romance whoever they choose. Currently we have only opposite gender-locked romance options but no same gender-locked characters. Having sexuality-bound characters would be fine, if it weren't exclusively straight. Thus we are forced to choose between playing as a gender we do not identify with, or romancing same-sex characters that we don't feel as connected to, or not having anyone. Please bring the games into modern times and allow players of any gender to romance who they choose.

Was extremely disappointed in the lack of same sex romance options in LE, specifically the ME2 portion. The Paramore achievement is only completable if I have my character cheat on Liara because reaffirming it in LOTSB doesn't count. At the very very least, correct this. Cutting content is one thing but you are actively punishing Queer players by Gatekeeping this achievement.

Mods for the game prove that there is great interest for the restoration of this content, why in this progressive day and age do we still have this problem? I'm a vanilla straight dude, If you want to romance Jacob as Broshep who am I to judge? More choice = More good.
