Require Masks in Muskego-Norway School District

This should not be a political issue. Reinstate the policies in place for the majority of the last school year. They were effective and the students were able to abide by them.

Requiring masks based on the recommendations of all expert health organizations should not be something we have to sign a petition for.

The Muskego School District did an excellent job of keeping our kids safe last year. The mask requirement was a big part of that. Please make them mandatory again this year.

It’s our responsibility to do what we can to slow the spread of COVID to KEEP kids in school without interruption.

Please require masks for all staff and students inside the school and continue social distancing until all students can be vaccinated. This is a CDC recommendation based on the current surge in covid/delta. Do not let hecklers determine your policy. Thank you "Concerned Grandparent"

I just graduated from MHS— NO ONE wore masks last June, and I personally felt very unsafe. We must keep our vulnerable (those who cannot get vaccinated) student population safe and that happens with masks. If school board truly cared about our students then masks would be mandatory again

As an educational institution this among the most teachable moments you will ever be presented with. Follow the CDC guidelines and require everyone to wear masks during this pandemic. You’ll be saving lives and stopping the spread as well as practicing the responsibility that accompanies the rights of Citizens. Schools teach Health and Citizenship, now is the time for a sense of urgency - take action. Mask up Muskego Public Schools.

No one "wants" to wear a mask but it is the right thing to do in close contact settings, such as school buildings/classrooms. The likelihood of contracting and spreading Covid/Delta is high in schools. Protecting our children by providing a safe learning environment means wearing masks, especially since virtual learning isn't an option. This isn't political. This is life and potential death. Mask or potential 50K (cost) in medical bills for both unvaccinated and vaccinated. If masks are not required, what is in place for quarantine policies and Contact Tracing?

I am a very concerned grandmother living in Muskego with 3 grandchildren in the school district. Masks save lives. Do what is scientifically correct, not what people think.

For the protection of our children who cannot yet be vaccinated, please require masks. We will all achieve freedom sooner if we can mask and vaccinate now as we collectively battle against Covid as a united front.

The kids did so well with masks last year and they stayed safe and open all year. The new variant presents even more concern and kids under 12 are still unable to be vaccinated. The masks need to be required in order to stay safe and stay open. It’s too great a risk.

I help out watching our grandchildren who live in Muskego. They faithful wear their masks around people who are not vaccinated to help protect me from being exposed to Covid . They will continue to wear their masks at school but are telling me they will not eat at school since they would have to eat with others who are not wearing masks throughout the day. This is not healthy environment for them to be in to wait to eat until they come home from school. Please consider having the school staff and students require masks to protect not only the children but also the adults in their lives. The children should not have to worry about getting grandparents and elderly sick unnecessarily.

My nieces and nephew attend Muskego-Norway schools.
