if my kids and I can go to a crowded restaurant and/or sporting event, then my kids do not need to wear a mask every day at school!

Stop imposing unreasonable restrictions on kids who are at almost zero risk in order to protect irrationally fearful adults...which is what this is all about.

Although a person in a high risk group (>65) I feel that at this stage of the pandemic and bases on what we have learned over the last 2 years everyone should have free choice to wear s mask. I personally am willing to put myself at more risk in order to provide my daughter and grandchildren a choice.

Vaccines are available for adults and children!!! It’s time to move on! Masks aren’t even effective is stopping the “spread”! Time to follow the actual science, and prioritize our children’s social and educational well being! Those of us that want to assume the “risk” should be allowed to do so while those that have concerns about the virus can continue to wear their masks!

Masks should be optional because it is not equal of people who want to wear masks and who don’t want to wear masks

American children and their parents should have the right to choose to wear a mask or not. It’s time to drop the mandate. Glad my kids are out of the public school system. Make the choice for individual liberty and choice.

I’m a kindergarten teacher at The Pingry School. Masks will be optional for students and teachers come March 7th at my school. As a teacher, I see how detrimental these masks have been to children trying to learn letters and their sounds. The masks have interfered with social interaction. The number of social/emotional issues I deal with in my classroom since the pandemic has quadrupled, in large part because kids can’t read facial expressions under masks. As a mother with a child who has speech issues, these masks are a nightmare and inhibit my daughter’s speech progress. My daughter will be at Wilson next year. Masks should absolutely be optional. It is past time. Allow mask choice!!
