Barker-Mills & Trant Engineering should take a long hard look at themselves, Marchwood cannot take anymore industrialisation, the infrastructure is simply not there to take any more HGV/Traffic influx, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, MARCHWOOD SAYS NO!!

Barker-Mills & Trant Engineering should take a long hard look at themselves, Marchwood cannot take anymore industrialisation, the infrastructure is simply not there to take any more HGV/Traffic influx, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, MARCHWOOD SAYS NO!!

Marchwood has gone from a sleepy village to a busy industrial park over the years, it's time to leave it alone now

I'm a U.S.A. Army brat, and I lived in Marchwood from 2002-2004. It was the most beautiful little village, and I can't imagine it being any different. It had such a homey, welcoming feel to it - something that will definitely be destroyed by another industrial center. Please save Marchwood! I hope to return to England to visit soon, and my wonderful memories of the village and the wonderful people will be tarnished if this development occurs. I love Marchwood!!

I'm a U.S.A. Army brat, and I lived in Marchwood from 2002-2004. It was the most beautiful little village, and I can't imagine it being any different. It had such a homey, welcoming feel to it - something that will definitely be destroyed by another industrial center. Please save Marchwood! As regards Barker-Mills siting an anaerobic digester in the vicinity of Cork Lane so close to humanity brings near terror to our thoughts, no matter how hi-tech it might be. Explosive and toxic gases (methane, hydrogen sulphide & ammonia) and the real chance of airborne bacteria, infestations of rats and flies and of more obnoxious smells (the sewerage plant does produces more than enough). Also to mention the inevitable large increase in traffic just to imported waste for profit. To cap it all a business park to further the increase in traffic, this presumably is to be supplied with energy from the digester to make it anywhere near profitable. No thank you! Are we going to live in the middle of an industrial estate when eventually sons and daughters will be suffering from respiratory ailments and others complaints, living so close to this plant. Some residents are within almost a handshake away, where on some sites the smell is unbearable at 800 metres away. It seems the opinion is in some quarters that we here in this village have to put up with various industrial units one more will not matter. This is without thought or consideration to others under the pretence we are doing good for the majority (and themselves with the grants they are receiving as I understand!). My feelings are that the residents of Marchwood should also stress exactly this now. One more being one too many. Too close to our residential area! Marchwood says No!

We were looking to buy a house in marchwood but all this ridiculous development put us off! Marchwood has more than it's fair share!
