The Wisconsin Maple Producers Association has officially removed the age cap for the Maple Queen program. We achieved the necessary policy change through persistent pressure and clear communication with the board. I will be monitoring the implementation of these new requirements during the upcoming selection cycle.

The growth of this petition reached a point where it is no longer possible for the committee to ignore our request. I am now formalizing a letter to the board requestioning a direct meeting to address the age restriction policy.

Ridiculous rule. My niece is 26 and knows more about syrup production than anyone I know. Stop holding people back.
agree 100%. character matters more then a birth certificate. common sense people.
This is so outdated. Being in your late 20s or 30s doesnt mean you care any less about the industry. Let anyone who is passionate represent us!
Let the best person win regardless of age. Simple as that.
TOTALY AGREE. why does age matter? if they can do the job and love the state then get rid of the cap already.
