This is completely unacceptable! As a registered dietitian I strongly advice against it!

My child has a life threatening allergy to garlic. ALL ingredients in a food should ALWAYS be clearly written on the label.

Mandatory labeling should stay. So many people are going to end up having allergic reactions due to this change. It is endangering other people's lives (my son included). So many people do not have allergies in the top 8. My son's allergy (garlic) is considered uncommon so I doubt if the manufacturers would change the label for his which is super worrisome.

All ingredient changes in foods should be labeled properly. I don’t care if it is Temporary or not. This is for the safety of our children and everyone else who have food allergies or certain dietary needs.

Please make it a sticker or label change so consumers can be informed to keep our children safe. If it’s an ingredient sub that will also introduce a NEW cross-contamination risk, that should be included as a kindness of heart courtesy for people with food allergies. Companies should be up front with this for safety of their consumers. Also it would overwhelm families to start calling food manufactures again on every food item from brands they trusted to date, not to mention those companies would be flooded with inquiries from allergy consumers and would need to understand that work load. Please out of kindness in your heart and safety of all, in time where people are already fearing a potentially deadly virus, do not introduce more complexities that could potentially harm or even fatally harm others.

Labels already don't list everything some people are allergic to. It is hard enough to find foods that are safe to eat.

My son can have an anaphylactic reaction and die because of this. It’s a matter of life and death

We should know what’s in our foods!!! Want to keep the hospitals from being overwhelmed then require changes to foods to be labeled CORRECTLY. Even those foods outside of the top 8.
