how many more buildings of interest do we need to lose? Leave them to become unsafe then demolish them and allow the new development? . Disgusting !

I worked at London Rd. As a Fire Control Operator in the 70s. & have many happy memories. It's tragic how it's been allowed to fall into decay.

The first thing that visitors arriving at Piccadilly should see is a superb and shining example of Edwardian civic pride. Their first impression should be 'Wow, this is obviously a proud, forward thinking city that really values its heritage'. Instead they are greeting by a crumbling vision of sad neglect. You don't get a second chance to make a first impression.
