To allow it to continually decay is a dereliction of duty by Britannia. It is now time for the citizens of Manchester to claim it back for development, after all they can't do a worse job.

Happy to support giving this magnificent building the future it deserves. Criminal neglect to let it rot for 28 years. Walk past it most days and never ceases to amaze.

This iconic building should never have been allowed to fall into this state - it can not be left to be demolished - it must be saved now!

It's a crying shame that this once fine building has been left to rot. Alex Langsam should be ashamed of himself... but he's not bothered one bit! CPO Mk 2 Time!!!

I lived opposite the building for a considerable time. It is BEAUTIFUL! All it needs is some TLC to restore it to its full glory. Lets respect the heritage it carries and allow it to remain an emblem of Manchesters evolution as a city.

Growing up in Manchester in the 50's this building stood tall and proud. How dare the corporation allow 'big business' to cause such a magnificent part of Manchester crumble and fall. Time to step up and demand of those big business people that it is put back to how it was for future generations to know and remember the glory days. The elegance that was not concrete faceless slabs of today.

Fed up of Britannia hotel groups lies and neglect towards this amazing building. One of the best things about Manchester is the way, over the years, that new buildings have been build up along side the older ones. For this to continue we must not allow the beautiful older buildings to be left to decay so that they can be replaced by souless modern designs

An absolute utter disgrace that Britannia Group let it get to this. It's an absolutely stunning building.
