it would be great to see this building given a new lease of life ! Perhaps a retail area for independent businesses (cafe , craft , clothing ) with a bar or cinema to keep the building alive at all times of the day !

My dad was lucky enough to do his firefighter training in this building many years ago and if he was here today I know he, like many others, myself included, would be so happy to see this beatiful building put back in to good use and opened to the public.

This farce has gone on long enough, action needs to be taken and taken now to protect this forsaken jewel in Manchester's crown.

I am in full support of this amazing building being fully restored with its dignity in tack, retaining the original features and allowing access for all.

I think they only bought it for the land, it must be worth a fortune.

I pass this magnificent building on a daily basis and find it criminal that it is just left to rot away. It is simply unbelievable. This is history going to waste. Manchester cannot let this building go to waste!

This is the building I was born in, so I feel something positive should be done with the structure.

The development of such an important building cannot just be left to the corporates!

The men who used to work in this building have saved the lives of many Mancunians, the least we can do is try to save their home and workplace.

Please don't turn let it become a hotel or apartment block. LRFS is surrounded by them already.

As an xmanc from the 60/70's I remember this iconic bldg. very well. Sad to see the neglect.. let's get this bldg. back in the care of those that want to preserve.
