This is my favourite building in the world. It is beautiful. Please don't destroy it. It could be wonderful again.

My dad took me to the fire station open days and displays every year since I was 4 years old right up until the week before he died in 1955. I still went though it wasn't the same without dad there drumming into me his views on fire safety and why he took me. It was great to walk around all the landings of the station, meeting fire fighters and their families who lived in the many flats and the staff who proudly kept every inch of that property in good clean condition for many years. We knew our city was safe with the Station on call 24 hours of every day and right .

It is heartbreaking to see this beautiful building in such a state!
Having been born there and spending the first 15 years of my life there I am upset to see the state it is in at present!
