sadly i do not live in the great city of Manchester now but it will always be my home town so keep this wonderful building

Good luck with the next CPO. However, I think as long as the condems are in power nothing will happen. Eric Pickles will always side with private companies.

I used to go to school at central high for girls over the road from the fire station. I remember watching the fire engines coming out of the doors and it was a sight to see. Is there ever a chance of going round the fire station for a tour, so people can see what has happened to the building? .

I did my Fire Service training in this building in 1964 and served there until 1968. I would love the building to be preserved as it was,poles ,pole doors and parquet floors.

This could be such an asset of international standing if developed in the right way and not just another hotel. So many of Manchester's historic/landmark buildings have been converted into soulless facades with limited access to the public.

Please save this beautiful building and take steps to make sure it doesn't fall to vandals/arsenists
