For years tennis was viewed like golf: a sport for the rich. Today, however, it is a sport that is viewed as one that is played by anyone that wants to play. Making public courts private and restricting their access would prevent progress made by the top players that represent Canada today. Please leave these public tennis courts available to the public for free use.

Public means public. There's no need to discriminate.

Just say no to private contracters. Keep the ball in the public court; advantage to the entire community. Game, set, match.

Let everyone play tennis at the park. Be friendly, positive and put the emotions aside.

The extreme issue here is. "Where do the poor families go." Tennis must not be only for those who can afford.

Certainly public spaces and facilities for sports and recreation were established in the first place with a vision of democratic access for the society as a whole. We need to maintain this vision, especially in an iconic park like Victoria in Charlotteown.

Public means Public - for everyone. We need to encourage activity for all.

These are public courts and strongly believe they should stay public given all tennis players and coaches fair access to VP tennis facilities.

I'm not a tennis player, but these are public courts and should stay available to the public.

Privatization of public parks is not the right thing to do. Victoria Park belongs to everyone, not just for the selected few...

Privatization of parks in PEI it's just another step in separating the classes.

So glad people are finally putting a stop to this obvious conflict of interest. This private company has been blocking other tennis coaches and from working with players at these courts for years, creating a monopoly. Really hoping that the Victoria Park courts can belong to the community again, not a private company in Stratford.

believe me, if the courts is running by a company, many things will change. the price of mall courts is so much high, will we lost the only access ?

The park should be left for public use It helps people that don't have a lot of money to learn and grow. If someone sees the need for a private facility then they should build one.
