We do not want to go down the road of privatization of our public grounds and facilities , as we talk and we debate it , we can actively own our "say" in it, once legislation is passed to privatize these facilities we have no more "say" in it. Any changes to, rules governing, policies encouraging or prohibiting activity and usage will be matters for the courts. We must seriously consider keeping these courts out of "the courts"

Think of the children whose parents can't afford to pay for private lessons but can teach the children themselves on public courts.

Those wishing private tennis courts should build them privately and not commandeer public courses thus depriving the larger community public access.

In order to grow the sport on the island and provide opportunities for everyone (especially kids who love the game), the courts should remain public!

These are great courts. A joy to play at. And always respected by the users.
These are well used "public" courts.
If someone needs a private court. Pick a new location and build!

These courts should remain public! It's not fair to the residents of Charlottetown to make them private.

As a Charlottetown resident, I am deeply upset about the management of the Charlottetown courts. This is a public, non for profit faculty that should not be run by a profit company. No where else in Canada does this happen. Please change your decision!

Coming from a former competitive tennis player growing up on the courts down at the park, there was never any controversy as to who could or couldn't use the courts due to someone running a private business on public courts because it was run by the city at the "old tennis hut" .. Knowing that this is happening and it's affecting the kids that love the game is heartbreaking... I hope the right decision is made on this matter or there will be alot of unhappy kids that are playing now and that want to play leisurely and competitive. Let's make the right decision to grow the sport rather than tear it apart.
