There are no other tennis courts for the community to use. Staying active for everybody in the community is what sets us apart from crime and street gangs in the streets. It's bad enough that the hockey rinks are so unaccessible.

Public parks should be a resource for all (and a key part of any healthy city plan).

Public parks and their facilities should be available to all. Period.

Tired of being told all the courts are being used for private, paid events. These are public courts in a public park. I pay my taxes. I want access too. The same contractor also runs the indoor courts during winter. Hard to play without somehow being forced to be their customer.

I believe in inclusivity and community - that's what PEI is all about! Tennis has no boundaries; we must connect rather than disconnect to grow our tennis PEI community strong. YES TO ALL; NO TO PRIVATE.

As it is the city of charlottetown that maintains the courts with the money we pay in our taxed, I feel strongly that accessibility is not placed in the hands of any private party. The coaching and organized activities need to be fully available to all for the small fees that we players have accepted in the past. No private business interest.

Leave the courts alone. Are you listening, Mayor Lee?
