Aggravated assault on a defenceless and innocent animal is a clear sign of psychological issues. What will it take for that person to then do it to a child, an elderly person, a mentally or physically impaired person? This is darker and more evil than if it were done to a human who is able to defend themselves. The courts of Australia need to toughen laws and make an example for others.

This has happened in the town I live in and has rattled the community. I am horrified at what this man did to a beautiful family pet and he has clearly shown little or no remorse so far for his actions. We need harsher penalties for people who abuse animals and it needs to happen now. RIP Goji

What happened to Goji is not acceptable. It is difficult to comprehend that a person could do such a thing to a nieghbours loved pet. There are other ways that this pearson could have handled the situation. It is a crime and the person who did this dispicable act needs to be made accountable. A fine is not enough, hasher pensalties should be in place for these violet act against people loved pets.

Our laws need to change to protect the victims, not the criminals. There needs to be a proper incentive to not commit the crimes in the first place. There is no justification for this man’s actions and he deserves more than a slap on the wrist as does anyone who things it’s ok to kill someone’s pet or any other defenceless creature, especially in such a brutal, cruel way.
