They word nursing aid in its self is showing that the job requires helping a nurse thus showing that less responsability is required and phlebotomists do much less work, not to forget the fact that nurses spend 3years studying and working to graduate unlike the other courses for nursing aids and phlebotomists

Nurses abroad in countries get paid more....why shouldn't we. When I say more I mean more money with the same cost of living and working less hours per week. Keep in mind that nurses in Malta work 46 hours per week and get paid in the region of €1,300 - €1,500 per month (in the first 5 yrs and increases slightly after that). I'm not saying this is nothing BUT, nurses suffer from extreme burn-out their duties are VERY vague and treated with little to no respect by patients and fellow professionals alike. On one day a nurse will keep within his/her job description on most days they cannot as health care workers are at a shortage as well as nurses themselves.
Nurses coming to work from abroad find the work here annoying to say the least, they cannot wait to find a job in their country so that they can leave here and work in MUCH better working conditions, using actual NURSING skills( not 'jack of all trades' skills). Hope the government listens to these nurses after all they might need their services too.

It's not a rymour..there are actual directives being done by the paramedic aids/phlebotomists union. It's not fair on us after studying for many years at university to obtain that pay.
