The proposed buildings are too high for this area and will dominate it. The proposed density of dwellings will have too great an impact on all local services and facilities. West London has had many large developments in recent years focussing on flats so there is not a shortage of that type of accommodation. Most would-be residents of Mortlake and East Sheen are families who are not interested in this type of accommodation.

The development is totally too big for the area, aesthetically and for road and rail traffic.

The proposed plans will mean a huge increase in traffic, population and pollution and change the nature of the area for ever.

It is unreasonable to expect that the area will be able to cope with this amount of potential new residents. Not only this but such an excessive amount of large tower blocks for this many flats is not in keeping with the area. Finally building the school over such a large area of green, that could benefit the school as sports fields, is madness.

Chalker’s Corner will become Choker’s Corner if the Mortlake Brewery developers’ plans go ahead. The plans include chopping down many mature trees and widening the road by taking land from Chertsey Court. The residents of Chertsey Court and neighbouring roads will lose the benefit of the trees which significantly lessen the level of pollution from the traffic. There is hazard tape and a poster on each tree under threat so you can see what is planned. The widened road will be significantly nearer Chertsey Court bringing greater noise from even more traffic. And these plans will not solve the problem of traffic in Mortlake. It just doesn’t add up. Mums for Lungs East Sheen is a branch of Mums for Lungs, a growing network of parents concerned about the air pollution that is gravely affecting our children's health. They are campaigning for cleaner air for all Londoners by 2020

In addition to the statement in the petition, there are very significant health and safety risks re the danger to pedestrians at Sheen Lane rail level crossing and the lack of safe road access along the Lower Richmond Road for pupils attending the secondary school. I also object to the loss of open green space with the removal of the grass playing fields. This contravenes the GLA’s own London Plan.

There are too many units in this proposal and the buildings are too high. No block should be higher than the Maltings. Traffic will be gridlocked - especially at the beginning and end of the school day if this goes ahead. The plans must be reviewed.

Totally inappropriate over- development which will cause increase traffic and pollution in an area already gridlocked most of the day.

If this goes ahead it will be the ruination of the entire area.

Do not push central London riverside development out to a totally inappropriate location

Infrastructure around Mortlake is already unable to cope. We cannot build more housing without addressing this properly first.

The lack of consideration of the impact on local infrastructure, traffic and pollution levels is negligent

There definitely needs to be a Conversation about traffic and transport in the area with another 475 flats being built parking is also another issue

Given the disastrous traffic congestion following the closure of Hammersmith Bridge, this development would be an intolerable additional traffic burden with sky high levels of pollution

Mortlake traffic is awful without adding more to it ! The height of buildings should go with regulation of the area , please be considerate, don’t just add building after buildings to this beautiful area !!

Keep this area clean and traffic free, it can take up to half an hour to get from the Brewery gates to Chalkers Corner. If building go’s ahead it would add a hour to your journey.
