This locality has become so clogged up with traffic, particularly with the Hammersmith Bridge debacle, that a development of the density proposed is beyond bounds of sense or reasonableness to those living here.

The plans are completely unsuitable for the site and for the surrounding area and would have a strongly negative impact on the lives of local people at a time when congestion on the roads and over-crowding are already having a bad effect.

The proposed development goes totally against the principles of empathetic and appropriate urban development: Completely out of keeping with the existing community needs and architecture, creates massive pollution and congestion issues on top of the existing significant problems, infringes upon listed building legacy. Completely inappropriate for an urban development. Local infrastructure would not be able to cope and the existing community would be greatly adversely impacted.

Common sense is obviously not prevailing. How such a large project can be considered in this area beggars belief. Hammersmith Bridge closure has already had a hugely detrimental effect on the roads in the whole SW and W London area, not just Barnes. To add this enormous development and the ensuing increase in construction traffic followed by those that will use it, is totally unacceptable.

Unacceptably large development proposal for this location, also seemingly taking no note strain on existing facilities - water/drains/power/etc. And what about the pollution from extra traffic? It is bad enough on the Lower Richmond Road/Mortlake High Street

This area has unique traffic problems, one road in, another road out. The river on one side and the almost permanently closed level crossings on the other means all other access is virtually impossible. This ill-thought out over-development will make this area one of London's permanent traffic black-spots, with the associated misery and health issues for local residents. Please stop this mistake before it happens.

Yet another high density development. It seems the Mayor has prioritised social housing above every other consideration. The developers have responded by cramming in more units, looking to not let the Mayors demands hit their bottom line. With their agenda's fulfilled it is the local residents that will pay the long term price. Not against development per se, just this ill thought out one!

The transport infrastructure is already creaking - level crossings, poor train service, congested roads, no parking... cycling is dangerous
1000 plus units on top of this is CRAZY

We urge to listen and not let these plans go ahead. You don't live in this area, so you can't fully understand the negative impact this will have on our community.

The road could not cope with traffic before the closure of Hammersmith Bridge and now the closure of Sheen Gate in Richmond Park has added to the problem. With Mortlake station nearby, traffic now can be stationary for a considerable time and causes a jam back to Chalkers' corner one way and to White Hart Lane the other. The riverside should be a protected area. These plans are entirely inappopriate and I reject these proposals.

It is frustrating that the Mayor is trying to flex his muscles in this area in the same way as Boris with his overturning of local planners in respect of the Putney high street redevelopment.

I strongly object to this development because of an inauditable increase in pollution, traffic as the primary source is currently unbearable with gridlocks everyday, this will make this situation even worse regardless of road infrastructure enhancements.
I agree with the need to convert to a green space which will benefit the local community much more than the proposed.

We don't need another Legoland. The plans smack of greed with minimal investment on the surrounding area and infrastructure.
