The area will become a no go congestion and pollution zone.

This development, without massive infrastructure changes to roads, sewers, pollution, parking, safety etc....will destroy Mortlake, Barnes and Sheen. It demonstrates stupidity, incompetence, greed and blatant disregard for the residents of SW London.

This development is far too dense for the local area - it will overwhelm the local infrastructure, particularly roads and trains. I am all for developing the site but the current plans are not suitable for this area and the number of houses needs to be reduced. The plans also need to be looked at in the context of other developments such as Barnes hospital and manor road, which are already adding to the density of the local population.

With retricted access, this oversized development will only worsen the high volume of traffic flow in the area which is exacerbated by Sheen Lane crossing delays and the extra traffic heading out to Chiswick Bridge as a result of the Hammersmith Bridge closure. How are rescue services expected to negotiate such jams in single lane traffic.

I'm all for redeveloping the site - just not to the scale proposed. Local transport infrastructure will not cope.

More housing units in London? The Capital is too overcrowded for this with the negative impact it will have on main public services. Let us bring a halt on these kind of projects for the moment.....the moment means at least a decade or so and then review.

Please stop this wholly inappropriate density of housing in Mortlake, the surrounding infrastructure was not designed to cope with this sort of increase in our local population.

The current plans are an overdevelopment of the Mortlake area.
There are many instances of traffic delays, congestion and increased pollution. Residents are subject to delays reaching their own properties due to the volume of traffic already and this will only get worse if the proposed development goes ahead.
This is very much a case of forcing a quart into a pint pot.
I think the Mayor should visit the area and stay for a few days and experience the problems currently faced.

It’ll be a great development if you significantly reduce the density of housing and rectify/improve local infrastructure, especially the terrible road congestion.

This development keeps on increasing in size and is simply unsustainable in terms of increased traffic and pollution.

Outrageous that the Mayor is ignoring public opinion, he also approved the Homebase proposals on Manor road even following over 1,000 objections, outraged.

Increased population would not be supported by local facilities. Current road system would not cope with increased traffic . Building heights excessive for local environment.

The traffic in this area is already gridlocked. No decision should be made in respect of these plans until the Hammersmith Bridge issue has been resolved.

This is a massively overdense development. 1252 units needs to be reduced, as does the height. Traffic is already gridlocked and there is no current solution to Hammersmith bridge, so NO development should be approved until the bridge is resolved.

For an allegedly caring Mayor his actions belie his words, and cause chaos and misery London-wide. London in general, and Mortlake and Sheen in particular, no longer require the planned huge increase in housing and urban sprawl - this isn't New York - now that many people are able to work from where they currently are instead of moving to where they work - work has moved to them. The borough would need a massive increase in supporting and ancillary infrastructure and services, especially health, education and transport, if the scheme goes ahead. The scheme will make the borough unliveable. Much better to spend that money on knocking down and rebuilding Hammersmith Bridge so that it can function for the traffic that requires to use it - something we actually want and need.

An extra 2000+ residents will put additional strain on already gridlocked roads, and overstretched public transport. Mortlake Station is already dealing with higher numbers of passengers than it was designed for and buses are struggling to cope with the traffic caused by the indefinite closure of Hammersmith Bridge.

The development will go ahead but local people and businesses need to be listen to. We have a major problem with the changes to the plans submitted to Richmond Planning and now to the changes the Mayor has imposed.
