Dear Washington State Legislators;
The undersigned respectfully request that you please make all transit boards directly elected. Between the ongoing issues with Sound Transit, the questionable management of Kitsap Transit's fast ferries, the 2014 crisis around Island Transit, and questionable conduct with other transits across the state the undersigned publicly declare discomfort at transit boards being federated in our great state and ask for a change to directly electing to public transit boards of any citizen of our great state please.

This is long overdue. Kitsap Transit is a perfect example of why the board should be elected.
There needs to be better accountability
Happy to kickstart this good cause to make Washington State transit boards directly elected. We the folks need a say.

Directly electing transit board members instead of appointing elected officials with "the correct attitude" to the board will ensure the board members can be held directly responsible for their numerous bad decisions.
