Accuweather is a joke. When we had a tornado warning, they didn't shift from their recorded forecasts and standard doppler. At least at the weather channel, they would show you exactly where it was headed. Also, when weather events, like tornados and flooding, happen. We can't get any information. Some of us still get weather from the television. Not having the weather channel is a risk for my safety during bad weather.

A Verizon rep told me that most people now prefer to get their weather information on phones or tablets, so TWC wasn't necessary on FIOS customers' TVs. Verizon, apparently, supports the shift from watching anything on TV....AccuWeather is actually kind of sad, in the 'you tried' way. Verizon, on the other hand, is infuriating. I did hear gossip that the real issue is that the Verizon administrators are conservative and objected to TWC's coverage of the issue of climate change. Very interesting, if true.

The Weather Channel provides us with the most reliable accurate information. AccuWeather is not an acceptable substitute.

This is outrageous. Not everyone is content with using an app or bothering to go online to see a weather radar. We have been FIOS subscribers for five years and avid Weather Channel watchers -- not just to get a forecast, but to follow severe weather wherever it happens and know that it was being covered by experts. That ridiculous channel they chose to replace it with only makes us laugh, and shake our heads in disbelief at how bad it is. Yes, we are looking at changing our provider when our contract is up. This isn't the first time Verizon has disappointed us, but hopefully it is the last. Reinstate The Weather Channel, Verizon, please. Just admit that you made a bad decision and fix it.

We need real time weather not a looped feed that goes over and over with the same information. Bring back the Weather Channel or I'll switch back to Time Warner Cable. Having The Weather Channel can mean the difference between life and death during a severe weather outbreak.

You clearly do not care how your Customers feel about this horendous dicision you made in dropping the Weather Channel if anything we shouldve been given a choice as to what weather provider we wanted. In time if you dont bring it back i too will be switching cable providers

Just signed on to Verizon Fios when I moved to Richmond Va. Wow, had I known no TWC, I should have stayed with Comcast. Local on the 8's IS my morning ritual! Really sucks! Bring it back!

I thought we said Verizon is the best I cannot live without the weather channel and will be switching if not brought back very soon. I know threats don't mean much and I'm only one measly customer but I'm extremely disappointed. Accuweather is a joke what do you think your Verizon customers are stupid and don't see the difference in quality !
