My Child goes to this school and there should be some restrictions here......Yellow lines seems to be a good idea.!

Kids may well need to come and go during the day so parking restrictions are required. Would painting the lines yellow circumvent the problem?

Fully support this. Wish this had been done long ago but the problem is definitely getting much worse with people parking their permanently in addition to the parents who park their to drop off their children. I hope this will be enforced. Also, I note on the public notice that St Barnabas is spelt incorrectly. Please make sure it is spelled correctly on the traffic order.

The drivers could be met and presented with the petition. As a first step.

About time the 'legal reasons' were resolved! However, all drivers should automatically be aware that one should NEVER park on a zigzag line.

This parking does present a real hazard to children entering and leaving school -- they can't easily see past parked cars, which is why the zigzag lines are always put in. But they must be enforceable!

Accessing the school site during the school day has become more hazardous due to cars being parked on the zig zag lines and in some instances partially obscuring the dropped kerb which allows vehicles to access the school site. This makes it impossible to have a clear sight line and causes considerable difficulties when manoeuvring a car out on to Hart Street from the school car park. Emergency vehicles would also find their access restricted. Pedestrians are at risk and small children are obscured from sight as they try to cross the road between parked cars to access school. Polite notices and information given to parents has failed to address this issue, the only way to provide protection for children is to ensure that parking restrictions can be legally applied.
