This intersection needs a traffic light and slower speeds on Rolf Hwy. It shouldn’t change speed to 55 until AFTER the intersection heading to Wakefield and should drop to 35 BEFORE the intersection heading to Surry! 5 days after Mr. Downey’s tragedy a car did NOT slow down let alone stop coming off rt 10! I barely missed hitting him in the driver door as he pulled in front of me. New brakes on my truck saved him.

The Rt 31 and Rt 10 intersection needs 2 stop signs with flashing lights. Also a lane divider is needed on Rt 10 as you approach the stop sign with intersection with Rt 31.

It's a shame that so many innocent people have to die before true safety measures are put in place. We don't live in Mayberry, folks are just to distracted these days, whether it's phones, food, make-up, or daily activities sucking up the brains concentration. The ferry is a huge time saver and attraction, tons of people go thru that intersection, there should be more measures in place to make people slow down or stop, and not a stupid traffic circle, people dont know how to use them! Maybe the next motorcyclist will be saved from this fate, if the city acts now!

Clearly occasional sheriff monitoring is insufficient. I agree with extending the 35mph zone to the intersection or a stop light would be valuable. Minimum flashing lights on the t-stop sign or flashing signal (yellow for 31, red for the stop). Something must be done.

One of the worst intersections in this county when it comes to people not stopping. I have had to lock my breaks up multiple times to keep from hitting someone turning from 10 onto 31.
