Make Southsea Ave/Lymington Avenue/Glendale Gdns safer

This road is a major rat run at certain times of the day . A disaster waiting to happen , it needs a 20 miles speed limit fast . Or speed humps . This will stop cars speeding , I live in the grange and cars coming out of hadleigh road go past mine at 40 miles plus ! What speed are they doing when they get to southsea junction ! This needs to be done fast before there is a death ! I moved here 8 years ago and my first morning in this flat I could not believe how much traffic and the speed of the cars in this road . I do not like speed bumps but if this is what is needed then I fully back this action , please make this road a safer place most of the cars that use this road do not even live around this area , I am sure if they lived here they would feel that something needs to be done quick . So Southend council action please .

There was a serious crash on the junction of lymington and glendale a few months ago. In the evenings parents picking up and dropping off at the dance studio exacerbate the dangers here.

Action now before seriously too late

Hugely important and feels like if we don't do something immediately, we'll all regret not acting when something truly tragic happens. Completely feels like when, not if.

Its so dangerous. Plus if Southsea Ave really does go one way, a crazy idea from the council and one which is against the wishes of the north part residents, it will mean cars will drive even faster. Sadly the one way idea is backed by our Lib Dem councillors, very disappointing. I believe that Glendale Gardens is the most dangerous road in Leigh to walk down. Wishing the person involved in the accident recently a speedy recovery.

Have witnessed many near accidents here where cars mount pavement and park too near the entrances to the roads and cars speeding is very common. This is a worry so close to my kids school and dancing school as we often walk round here.

Totally agree, I use Amanda restell dance academy and have seen many cars driving too fast down Glendale Gardens and mounting the pavement when young children are around

Since there has been parking on two sides of Southsea Avenue, it's become unsafe. Cars queue waiting to for traffic to come down from the broadway, which makes the Glendale Gardens junction congested and unsafe for pedestrians crossing. It's impossible to cross the road safely, especially when inconsiderate drivers are dropping off/picking up from the driving school.

Thr drama school is the main problem, the parents park on the pavements, on the yellow lines, over drives! There really dont care about the people who live around here

Raised junctions might be a good idea, as they will make drivers aware there is a junction coming up and slow down from ALL directions!

Enough is enough now. It obviously isn't working please do something about it before something bad happens

Please make changes to these roads to ensure the safety of our children.

A speed restriction on all the roads may help.

Visibility totally reduced at these junctions when driving

This junction has regular accidents and potential for pedestrians to be seriously injured.

As a Southsea resident I feel it is essential that action be taken to make our roads (Glendale, lymington, Southsea) safer for school children walking to and from school.

I live in Southsea Ave and I too am concerned about the speed down the road and the danger at this junction.
