I travel this area often and see the youth crossing this busy street. I'll admit to not being a wear of the danger since I am only passing through. As a parent I pray this petition is evaluated and the safety of all will be taken into consideration.

Anytime you have any child crossing a road with a posted speed limit of 35MPH without a light or crossing guard = bad news! Seems very simple to accomplish something so minute to make these kids have a safe journey to/from school. Bertil

Another reason to offer public or volunteer transportation services for students. On Far Hills there is red lights complete with crossing guard, how about the same for this side of town! Happened to one to many kids in this community.

Cars drive way too fast on Shroyer and a stoplight or stop sign, even a well-marked crosswalk with a crossing light, would make me feel much safer about children having to cross there.

great suggestion! I added a sentence about enforcing this crosswalk. Kettering has a similar crosswalk across from their high school, that crosswalk has flashing lights and pedestrian signs.
