The response to this campaign indicates that public access to our coastline remains a vital priority for many residents. This momentum provides a firm foundation for our upcoming discussions with the Village council regarding the future of Port Antigua and White Marlin Beach.

Keep our waters open. Nobody owns the bay.
What hasn't been discussed amongst those in favor of the closure, is the numbers of PAPOA owners who access the beach regularly BY BOAT as a preferred method. By creating this "swim zone" or "no motor zone" or whatever it is called, it will force OWNERS to swim amongst operating boats (legally permissible outside the 300' mark), who run close to the buoys at high speed, to get to the shallow areas. No vote/survey has ever been taken by the PAPOA board to ascertain the intent of the membership. This is an effort by a select few to deny rightful access to the rest.
This is NOT an effort of only beachfront homeowners! Many others in the community want a peaceful and safe place to enjoy a day on the water. We are asking for a 300 ft. no boating zone. This would allow for swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, etc. in a safe environment.
THESE BEACHFRONT OWNERS NEED TO RELAX. The water is for everyone not just the people with the big houses. Leave it alone.
If they shut this down where are we supposed to go. Its always been a spot for local families to drop anchor and enjoy the day.

My family has been anchoring at this spot for years. It is ridiculous that a few people want to claim the water for themselves just because they live on the sand.
