This man is who the officers WANT and NEED in this position. Howie has ran this department way before he was appointed the Interim Chief believe me. Howie Thompson is extremely ethical, professional and a person of great character. Howie has worked his way through the ranks and is respected by the officers and public. If the city is to seek outside candidates they will be doing the the citizens of this great city a huge disservice. #HOWIE4CHIEF

I considered moving my business outside of city limits due to crime we experienced on Main Street. Thanks to Howie, his team of professionals in LE knew my employees names, stopped by to celebrate birthdays, and even walked us to our vehicles when we were feeling unsafe.
Howie is THE person for the job. Full stop. Had he not intervened and ensured my employees and my safety, I would’ve left city limits long ago. It’s because of him and his team of dedicated officers that my business will remain Downtown.
He deserves the position. Not an outsider with no knowledge of our city.
